The academic event took place from October 18 to 20 and brought together leading national and foreign health professionals.
As every year, Clínica Ricardo Palma held its representative International Nursing Congress entitled: “Advanced Practice Nursing: Management and Strengthening of Competencies for an Innovative Future”. This event brought together leading health professionals, both national and international, marking a milestone in the updating and strengthening of the nursing profession.
More than 400 participants registered for this eleventh edition, which stood out for its hybrid modality that allowed interaction in person and through online platforms.
The congress focused on three main axes. The first emphasized the importance of leadership in nursing, both in the public and private sectors. Distinguished speakers, among them María Victoria Crespo, Corporate Director of Nursing – Quirónsalud, emphasized the need for empowered leadership to achieve the objectives of the profession. Paulina Sánchez, Head of Nursing at Clínica Medellín – Quirónsalud, emphasized the task of humanizing the profession and having a good level of patient satisfaction, carrying out efficient and quality management.
The second day focused on specialization and knowledge as empowering tools to achieve nursing goals and, above all, to raise awareness of this noble profession.
Finally, the interactive workshops on the third day demonstrated the relevance of advanced nursing based on evidence, scientific basis, and technical knowledge to strengthen the practice of the profession. The speakers urged the nursing community to aspire to great goals and to integrate into multidisciplinary teams to ensure the health and well-being of patients.
This great event contributed significantly to the advancement of nursing and promoted the importance of leadership and knowledge in the profession.
“Clinica Ricardo Palma is proud to have successfully concluded these 3 days of arduous but enriching academic days, where the training and commitment of the nursing community to the health and welfare of patients has been enriched. Advanced practice nursing is a process in which, at a national level, we are still in the phase of strengthening our competencies, committed to achieving an innovative future,” said Ana Cabello, Director of Nursing at the Ricardo Palma Clinic.
