Pain is usually a symptom related to an injury or illness. However, pain is the result of an elaborate and complex process that in recent years has become the main symptom that most of the time make our patients seek a medical visit

We are frequently visited by people with ailments in which pain becomes the main protagonist. In many cases, both for diagnosis and treatment, different specialists and technical resources are needed

Our main objective is to alleviate suffering through the latest therapeutic techniques integrated to a multidisciplinary team of medical specialists made up by anesthesiologists, neurosurgeons, traumatologists, internists, psychologists, nurses, among others

Lithotripsy Unit

Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) is a non-invasive procedure used to break stones that form in the kidney, bladder or ureter. Kidney stones are small stones that form when salts or minerals that are normally found in the urine become solid crystals inside the kidney. If they accumulate inside the kidney and form larger stones, they can cause pain, infection, obstruction and damage to kidney function. Sometimes, the stones formed in the kidney move and pass to the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder (ureter), which can cause severe pain if they rub against the wall or get stuck

We adapt state-of-the-art technology to our non-surgical stone resolution equipment at any level of the urinary system, regardless of the stone size or the place where it is located. After the procedure, the tiny pieces of stones are washed out out of your body through your urine

We offer you a highly trained medical team whose objective is to provide you with quality intervention and optimal care for your rapid recovery. These types of interventions are guided with radiographs or ultrasounds, and most do not require hospitalization for many hours

Interventional Radiology Unit

Our Interventional Radiology service consists of using minimally invasive imaging diagnostic techniques, which help doctors detect and treat a wide spectrum of diseases. These procedures are carried out with the help of x-rays and ultrasound

In these interventional radiology procedures, radiologists use imaging techniques, such as an ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), or fluoroscopy to obtain real-time images

We offer you a team of medical specialists, with extensive background and experience in performing this type of treatment. Treatments are usually minimally aggressive, recovery time of the patient is shorter, procedures leave small scars and in most cases they do not require hospitalization

Since interventional radiology treatments are guided by real-time images, they can be very precise. This helps doctors avoid damaging the surrounding skin, organs, and tissues as much as possible
