According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, it is estimated that in our country 16 thousand people die each year due to tobacco consumption. Several studies also indicate that Peruvians start smoking in adolescence.
Tobacco causes more than 20 types of cancer, in addition to multiple respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, etc. A person who smokes needs at least 5 years for their lungs to clear, however, it does not mean that they do not have sequelae from their consumption, for example, pulmonary fibrosis.
The cigarette is just as toxic to the passive smoker. Avoid people smoking around you. Quitting this habit is very difficult. Nicotine is more addictive than cocaine.
Therefore, the person who wants to leave this dependency must seek professional help and the support of his family, friends, and work environment so as not to relapse.
