The Neurology Service at Clinica Ricardo Palma offers you Polysomnography, a comprehensive study of multiple physiological functions of the body during sleep, non-invasive and painless, which allows diagnosing different sleep disorders and other conditions that are exacerbated while sleeping, such as: sustained hypertension, arrhythmias, undetermined heart failure, and cardiovascular disease without risk factors, among others.
What is Polysomnography?
It is a test that assesses several physiological parameters while we sleep. Simultaneously records neurophysiological, cardiorespiratory and cardiac, neurological and motor events that occur during sleep and that can affect sleep quality.

What does this test consist of?
A nurse practitioner will place sensors on your scalp, temples, chest, and legs, connected to a computer by long cables that will facilitate your movements while you sleep. In addition, a pulse oximeter is placed on the finger to determine the oxygen saturation in the blood.
Before, during and after the test, our specialists will provide you with the necessary instructions and will be attentive to any requirement during the test.
